Actions temporarily implemented

Protocol Measures

  • Have a PCR test (COVID – not rapid test)
7-10 days prior to surgery with a negative result for access to the hospital and send the results as soon as you receive them with a copy of your ID.
  • On the day of surgery, we’d do an X-Ray from your thorax and an antibody blood test (IgM/IgG) with results in 15 minutes. If you’re fully vaccinated you won’t need to take it but you have to bring your vaccination card (no photos).
  • If you’re planning to come with a companion, it must complete the following requirements:
    – fully vaccinated (bring vaccination card).
    – PCR test 7-10 days prior to your procedure date.
    – take the quick test in our lab the morning of your procedure.
  • Self-quarantine for 7 days pre-op and 14 days post-op is recommended:
    – face mask at home when communicating with your family members.
    – do not go shopping.
    – no unnecessary contacts during the time of quarantine.
  • The patient will receive an N95 mask and hand sanitizer accordingly they’re mandatory all the time. If you plan to stay longer in Tijuana or in a recovery home, remember to bring enough of both.
  • Remember to pack light and bring a suitcase on wheels.
  • On the morning of the procedure, your coordinator will be waiting for you at the lobby to walk you through the registration lab until you’re admitted to the preparation floor.
  • In case your coordinator is not there just go straight to the admissions desk with your ID and they will explain all the steps to follow.
